Me: Sure. So what business are you into?
She: I WANNA go into Event planning and management.
Me: Great. So what's your traction?
She: It's something I WANNA do.
Me: Oh you're not doing yet?
She: Yea KINDA.
Me: Okay... What are your plans?
She: I'm GONNA start soon.
Me: So what are you doing this weekend?
She: DUNNO yet.
Me: Sister Event planner. Is that how you use to do?
She: I dont get.
Me: Never mind.
She: So Endie; Please give me an idea how to go about it.
Me: Look for your best competitor and volunteer to work for her for free for three months.
She: Naahh... Endie.. I can't work for anyone right now. I need to make my own money.
Me: Do you have a family?
She: By family you mean? If I have kids?
Me: Any. Whether you're living with your siblings or your own family.
She: Yea. I Live with my family.
Me: Do you guys pray every morning?
She: Nope.
Me: Organize morning devotion for the family every morning.
She: How does that concern my business.
Me: (Shaking my nose) (...Silent... goes offline).
She: Endie! Endie!! You there?
Me: (gets notification)
(In my mind... keep wanna-ing and gonna-ing. You are already dead to me!)

You want to be an event planner and you can't even plan your own self?
You don't know what you'd be doing the next day? You think Mr. opportunity will come to your bedroom and fry eggs for you?

You want to be an event planner. Go all out every weekend and crash into weddings and clubs and restaurants and sporting arena. You don't have to be invited! Take a survey! Understand your market. Document your comparative value proposition. Stop dying there!!!

If you are waiting for validation from your fellow mediocre friends and myopic family? You have just succeeded in making your destiny to do the "one corner dance" at third mainland bridge!

Yesterday (on the day this was written), I watched Pastor Chris Oyakilome live as he preached. He used his iPad to read out scriptures. Later in the day, I saw a post on Instagram, and one guy like that insulted Pastor Chris for using iPad, instead of his Bible. I laughed at the man's ignorance. I remember an Uncle of mine was invited to a Church. He went there with his iPad, and someone asked him: "Sir, where is your Bible?” He showed him his 10.1 inches Pad. “But Sir,” he said, “This is not a Bible, this is iPad, you need to carry your Bible. You're not a good preacher, if you don't preach with your Bible," one of the pastors said. Now this is my point: Before the advent of printing press, the scriptures were originally written on a scroll! The ten commandments were written on a stone! Not on a Book called “Holy Book”. Passing by a church over the weekend, my thoughts revolved about a noticeable trend that have stayed in Nigeria, I believe for about a decade or so. You must have observed same. Churches in recent years now use Religious broadcasting (which is broadcasting by religious organizations, usually with a religious message) to conduct LIVE services. So, a head quarter church in any part of the country can easily broadcast to any of their satellite churches, and you see people in this satellite churches agreeing and seeing visible results.
