Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. I am skinny and I don't like cold. My lips quiver, my speech seizes, my nose shoots out mucus with every sneeze and I think my metabolism stops too, except my kidneys. It starts to produce urine like a liquor factory. The toilet must be within few paces away. Where there's no toilet, I can't handle myself when you put me in a cool room. There has never been more pressure than it is now for young entrepreneurs to become millionaires. So because I post on Facebook daily, friends and family assume that I'm one multimillion dollar ultra successful entrepreneur (which I am anyways). The other day I was with my best friend and he asked me jokingly, "when will you marry?" My response was, "heck! We all know how to use the remote control to change the channels on the TV. If we see something we don’t like, no big deal, we just change the channel. I know I do that a lot. I always say to myself that, “my eyes will see no evil”. We need to learn how to mentally change channels when negative images of the past pop up in our minds unexpectedly. You have to let go of the past and stop feeling sorry for yourself. You can’t do anything about what’s happened to you, but you can choose how you will face what’s in front of you. Create a new TV channel for your mind. Now program this channel with positive memories to replace the ones you are leaving behind. Be sure to delete "past failure" and trust God for a renewing of mind and a better future. Then you can change your channel to "New creation channel” (NC Channel) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come!
