It is important if you want to be a strong woman who is respected by the man in her life, that you keep yourself busy. By busy, I mean in school or working on your career. I’m not referring to hanging out on the corner with your friends all day. I’m not referring to going to a club every other night.

Nothing turns a man on, more than a woman with a life of her own - a woman who has goals and dreams; a woman with a nice career.

Don’t you like a man with these attributes? Men like it even more!!

Eye health: Keeping healthy Eyes (Part 2)

This part focuses on diet and eye health. Good eye health requires the consumption of nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids, lutein, zeaxanthin, zinc, beta-carotene, vitamins A, C and E, etcetera. Deficiency of these nutrients contributes to poor eye health Food sources that are positive for eye health include; - Green leafy vegetables like spinach, kale and others - Fruits like citruses and berries (oranges, etcetera). Also almonds, carrots, tomatoes, mangoes, pawpaw - Fatty fish such as tuna, salmon, mackerel. - Non meat protein sources like eggs, nuts, beans, etcetera - Diary products like milk and yoghurt Unhealthy foods such as processed foods, foods containing saturated fats, or foods that are high in sugar, should be limited and less consumed. Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. About six months later, I went to check my 300 level second semester result and I now had a CGPA of 4.00. That was the happiest day of my University education. I was rolling on the floor of the room. A lot of us have become used to using salt to kill earthworms when we encounter any in our houses. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. Our present is a factual reflection of how great our past was. We all have past, filled with different experience. Our past is always on the increase while our future on decrease. We all dream of a greater and better future but we are still loyal to our past. We can't create the future of our dream with the same attitude, perspective, relationships and decisions that created our today. What brought us here, wouldn't take us there. We need to let go the gory of the past. Take the lessons from it and move on. Ask yourself, Can I create the future I want with the same set of people I created today with? I think I need to have an office in my kitchen because it seems to me like almost all my inspirations stem from there. ----- One day, Dave entered the kitchen and took an uncooked potato in his hands, crying to be allowed to eat it. I said to him, "No drop that. That's not your food." He refused. He turned his back on me and was bent on eating the uncooked potato. I have come to discover from personal experience, and from observation that a lot of how people perceive or relate with us depends on the way we relate with ourselves.. I have had cause to deal with persons who gave me too many reasons not to take them seriously, and I didn't, why should I? And I have had cause to deal with people who I had no option but to take them serious, they gave me no option, these are people you just can't ignore or take lightly. I have done things that I should not ordinarily have done based on certain criteria like age, and marital status, and people were okay with it, why? Because I myself see no reason why I can't, so they see no reason why I shouldn't. People will only take you seriously if you take yourself seriously. Most people want to be so rich that they end up building castles in the air. When you are engaged or involved in the power of laziness, you tend to build castles in the air with no pillars or foundation to support them. And the Great Book says a wise man builds his house upon a rock and a foolish man builds his house upon a sand, so in all thy getting, get understanding. On the long run, laziness brings you no good. In fact, it robs you of a bright future. To overcome the power of laziness is to have an understanding and a revelation of who you are because when you do so, you will automatically be free.
