Attitude is Everything by Jeff Keller

Jeff Keller's Attitude is Everything, is another great book to read. Before I read this book, I thought it's going to be all about attitude (a person's behaviour, character as I understood it). It is all about attitude anyway, but a broader scope of it, one that I hadn't imagined and understood till I read the book.

There's so much to learn, know, gain, from reading books. People who don't read books, or who hate reading are kinda dead in knowledge and such death most times reflects in their attitudes, which is a product of the vacuum in their mindsets.

As I've done with the other books I've written about, I'll share a few of the many that can be learnt from Keller's book.

• One's attitude is the person's window to the world. It's just how the person sees and perceives the world.
Everyone was born with a clean mental window, one devoid of dirt and stains. As some persons (a lot of persons actually) grow up, the window gets dirty. Sometimes, it's just some dust. At other times, it gets deeply stained. The dirt and stains comes from all sort of negative experiences while growing up. They accumulate and make the window so dirty that some persons can't even see at all through such window. Some can see a little through their windows but they don't get a clear view. Such windows need cleaning, a thorough one. Without this, a person can never be above frustration and depression. A dirty mental window guarantees a failed life.

• Visualization is a powerful tool of the mind. With it, everyone develop and plays "mind movies". Most negative mind movies are created when negative experiences happen to people (as children). Some persons keep on accumulating, developing and saving these negative movies in their minds memories. Because they frequently dwell on these pictures and movies and constantly replay them, they create physical life experiences that are in synergy with their mindset, and therefore limit their potentials and ability to exercise their full potentials. Their life, thoughts, actions, character, mental maturity, have thus, been conditioned by their use of the tool of visualization. They however, have control of how they use the tool of visualization, and can use it more to their advantage, rather than disadvantage.

• Commitment is an important, probably the most important factor for Success. After having other factors including positive mindset, one needs commitment (which should come along with patience, persistence, perseverance) to get to the final destination. Lack of commitment destroys everything, and may cause one to start from the initial steps.

There's a lot more. Hope you'll check the book out if you haven't read it?
