You get involved with a man and get carried away. You miss a day of school here and there, give up on your goals and career. And before you know it, you've paused Your Own Life.

You want to spend all of your time with this great person. STOP IT! You’re losing yourself and you’ll eventually turn this guy off by smothering him and losing yourself in him.

Don’t let him be a distraction from your
personal goals. Be careful and don’t make that mistake. It happens to women all the time, so be prepared to control yourself and stay focused when this happens!

Stay focused on your own life. Don’t use a man as a way to fill in your life for you. This makes you the clingy, overbearing girl and it pushes men away.
If you have no goals or ambition and find it hard to keep yourself busy, don't assume you would get it all rosy with a man who maybe is wealthy!

If you accept being that dependent woman, a strong independent woman would always be a better option for men!

Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. Passing by a church over the weekend, my thoughts revolved about a noticeable trend that have stayed in Nigeria, I believe for about a decade or so. You must have observed same. Churches in recent years now use Religious broadcasting (which is broadcasting by religious organizations, usually with a religious message) to conduct LIVE services. So, a head quarter church in any part of the country can easily broadcast to any of their satellite churches, and you see people in this satellite churches agreeing and seeing visible results. Several years ago, people will never try that. They will wonder why you should be looking at somebody in a box, and be dancing, singing and even believe same for miracles. What foolishness? You can either carry the pains of your past as excess baggage or convert it into a fuel of love to propel you into your greatness. The choice is yours, because the past is gone and cannot be undone. However, the meanings we ascribe to the tragedies of our past is hardwired into our subconscious and dictates most of our thought processes and decision-making in the present. The way we interpret those events can be rewired to give positive meanings to our pain. We must see those ugly experiences as part of a grand design that is intended to bring out the beauty in us. I read this book about four years ago, and it was a big turning point for me. Much was learnt, I'll share few of them today. You should check it out. The lessons: Death begins when one stops learning, and ageing starts from one's mind, not one's body. One remains young as far as he or she keeps learning; One starts crashing once he or she stops pushing. One's ability to excel mentally is paralyzed once one stops trying and accepts that the results obtained is the best he or she can attain; One's life becomes a burden when one's life is void of progress. And when one's brain isn't working towards anything, it becomes a weight on the body. The brain is motivated when it sees something ahead, something to work towards for; One's success does not demand prayer and fasting, as much as engaging one's senses positively. But deep inside You, you get fulfilment from what you do, you feel great and positive about yourself whenever you do those things. Your dream lies in them. You're only just tired. It's normal. You may rest a little, but you don't give up! You don't give in to distraction and that desire to just get there immediately. Yesterday night (the night before the day this was written), I was having a nap, at the NIFES UNIPORT President's office, when Brother Daniel came to me and said: “Sir, we have a new person, he is stranded. And he needs a place to lodge for the night”. I was tired. I told him; “See to it that he finds rest”. Then he replied me: “he is a Muslim”. I said to him again; “that is not a problem. Just ask him basic information and tell him the etiquette of the secretariat. Also do a security check”. This is the normal pocedure for any one who comes around, because many have come in such way and at midnight they stole something. Then, I zoomed, off to sleep. This morning (on the day this was written), at 4.25 AM, when we do have our normal devotion, we had a full house. Everyone's trying to be truly happy, and everyone surely deserves that, because there's no life without happiness. But a lot of persons are much unhappy inside than they seem to be. Sometimes the pain they feel deep inside gets to a threshold, where they can't keep on putting up false happiness, and their true feelings are more often expressed.
