Our present society is a mixture of different persons of different family values. That's one of the major reasons why people have different understanding of an issue or situation. One from a family with high personal and moral values may not agree with the other who has his or her own values, and who feels they are justified and right. You see situations where people can't relate because of their parallel opinions and beliefs which are antagonist to each other. You see situations where people "mind their business" because they feel that the actions and activities of other persons, has no significant effect on them. Chanced upon a woman some years back, we got talking and she hinted me on the fact that she didn't want to have any kids in the mean time. I replied her that it's not a problem since her husband was privy and had made that arrangement along with her. Therefore, they refuse to hope so they won't be disappointed. This avoidance of hope is a type of protection against being hurt. Disappointment hurts! So rather than be hurt again, many people simply refuse to hope or to believe that anything good will ever happen to them. This type of behavior sets up a negative lifestyle. One of my challenges growing up was that our school system punished us for making mistakes... Isn't that silly? I was continuously at the top of my class (First to Fourth place) in high school and roughly First ten best student in college – but I graduated knowing nothing about my discipline/profession, until I learnt from life!! I had better grades than most of my colleagues who were far more intelligent than I was, but our school system rewarded me for my ignorance...
