Keeping a healthy Heart (Part 2)

Keeping one's heart healthy involves one ensuring that the heart and the blood vessels that supplies blood and oxygen to (/away) from one's heart are properly taken care of, and continue to function adequately. I'll talk about healthy eating in this part.

• When you buy food and snacks, always check out the ingredients and be sure about what you're consuming and how much you're consuming

• Cook and eat good and real foods, avoid junks

• Avoid skipping breakfast, it's very necessary

• Take fruits and vegetables

• Eating more fiber is good for a healthy heart (rich fiber sources include nuts, whole grain cereals, fruits and vegetables)

• Consume less sugar and salt (less salt is positive for a good blood pressure)

• Take less saturated fats (which can be found in meat) and trans fats (which can be found in some processed foods). Foods that are high in unsaturated fats and whole grains are more healthy.

• An omega-3 fatty acid rich diet is good for positive heart health. Fish (salmon, mackerel, sardines, tuna, etcetera) is a good source of this. Also, walnut is another good source.

• Nuts like walnuts, almonds, peanuts are good fiber sources and are good for healthy heart.

• Eat moderately, don't over eat.

Stay Healthy! Stay Positive!!
