Failure is never FAILURE

When I was still a student in Pharmacy School (and even now), there is always one moody, tensed day in every semester. It's the day, the previous semester's results is released. You'll see a good number of students rushing to the faculty's notice board to check results (theirs and others). Some take snapshots and upload them on their class WhatsApp groups for those who don't like going to check it up on the notice board. The general calmness in the faculty is always something of another level, on such a day.

Students who cleared all the courses feel happy and thankful to God. Some can be seen being excited, some others show no significant reaction to the success ("I expected it, of course!", they say to themselves). Some others feel for those who didn't clear (and those who failed badly), and who are feeling sad and unhappy because of it. They try to console them.

You'll see the unhappy mood of those whose results were below expectation. Everyone, especially those who cleared just seem a bit careful about talking to other persons that day because you can't tell how he/she feels inside. It's usually an awkward day!

It kinda seems to be the end of the world on such a day, especially when one finds out he/she isn't going to the next class, and would have to repeat the current level. The feeling of being left behind by one's classmates; the feeling of a wasted year and having an extra year to spend in school. Some students feel so bad about it that it becomes difficult to let their parents/guardians know about the situation (at least for that period of time). Some have to lie to their friends in other faculties, who assumes they are in the right level based on the number of years spent in the school. Anyway, some of these persons still finds out the truth, which is difficult to remain hidden forever. It's never easy for a lot of persons in this situation to deal with it perfectly. Some, finds it difficult to resume lectures in the repeating level with their former junior colleagues. It takes some extra energy to join them and resume lectures the next session, and when some do, it will still take some time to get used to and build a relationship with the new class. Anyway, you don't see students who would taunt you as everyone understands the nature of the school (Pharmacy).

While in Secondary school and Primary school, there were students who weren't that intelligent then (You shouldn't be surprised to find out that they are now, that's Life!). They had to repeat one or two classes. Then, a lot of us felt like life is over for them; that they won't be the successful ones. But nature has always proved it wrong!

Nature tells Everyone to work hard at achieving something, and when one fails, one should keep trying till he/she gets it right. Nature will not deny anyone success, as far as that person has fought for it and excellence. So is Life! You fail today doesn't mean you are a failure. You are a failure when you accept failure mentally and physically, and when you allow failure control your life, your happiness, your psychology! Failing at school doesn't mean failing in Life! Repeating a level doesn't mean you'll be the last of your classmates to get out of school, get a good job, or be least successful, or be a failure! NO!! In fact, a lot of persons who have succeeded in life failed at one point along the journey, but they let the failure(s) be a turning point for them, a mental stimulus, that motivated them to try again and get it right! Most success stories are never complete without failure!

So, when you fail, when you have to repeat a class, don't let it to mentally and physically cripple you. What's important is that you understand what could've gone wrong before, and then make it right and better. Also important is that you remember the dreams you've got in mind and keep fighting and pushing to achieve them! Also, never see yourself as a repeating student! You may be seen that way, but never see yourself that way! Also, never say negatives about yourself to yourself or someone else, because what you say is what you think and they both end up defining and controlling certain outcomes you'll have. You're not a failure! Just go ahead and prove it!!
