• On Friday, 14 July:

Kyle Walker completed a £45m transfer from Tottenham to Manchester City. The right back signed a 5 year contract.

Sammy Ameobi also completed a free transfer from Newcastle to Bolton.

Chelsea loaned Lucas Piazon to Fulham.

• On Thursday, 13 July:

Watford Signed Nathaniel Chalobah from Chelsea, for an undisclosed fee.

Tigres signed Enner Valencia from West ham, for an undisclosed fee.

• On Wednesday, 12 July:

Chelsea loaned Ruben Loftus-Cheek to Crystal Palace.

Dani Alves completed a free transfer from Juventus to Paris St-Germain. He signed a 2 years contract.

Adnan Januzaj completed a £9.8m transfer from Manchester United to Real Sociedad.

• On Tuesday, 11 July:

Dominic Solanke completed a move from Chelsea to Liverpool for an undisclosed fee.
Jack Cork completed a £10m trabsfer from Swansea to Burnley.

Chelsea loaned Ola Aina to Hull City.
Steve Mandanda completed a transfer from Crystal Palace to Marseille for an undisclosed fee.

Real Madrid loaned James Rodriguez to Bayern Munich. The loan is for 2 years.

Mario Suarez completed a transfer from Watford to Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng FC for an undisclosed fee.

Ron-Robert Zieler completed a transfer from Leicester to Stuttgart for an undisclosed fee.

• On Monday, 10 July:

Romelu Lukaku completed a £75m transfer from Everton to Manchester United. He signed a 5 years contract.

• On Sunday, 9 July:

Wayne Rooney completed a free transfer from Manchester United to Everton. He signed a 2 years contract.

Antonio Rudiger completed a transfer from Roma to Chelsea for a reported initial fee of £29m. He signed a 5 years contract.

How Airplanes fly? (brief summary)

I will love to write a little science about airplanes being able to fly. I'll only give a basic summary of a more detailed science. Photo Credit: freepik.com Four forces act on a flying airplane: the LIFT acting upward, the WEIGHT acting downwards, the THRUST acting forward, and the DRAG acting backwards. The LIFT is the force that makes the airplane move upward, and it is balanced by an opposite force, the WEIGHT which the plane exerts downwards and which is as a result of the plane's weight including the weight of people and loads on the plane. The THRUST is the force that makes the plane move forward, and it is balanced by a resistance force, the DRAG. Thus, for a plane to move forward, the THRUST must be greater than the DRAG; and for the same plane to move upwards, the LIFT must be greater than the WEIGHT. Everyone's trying to be truly happy, and everyone surely deserves that, because there's no life without happiness. But a lot of persons are much unhappy inside than they seem to be. Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. About six months later, I went to check my 300 level second semester result and I now had a CGPA of 4.00. That was the happiest day of my University education. I was rolling on the floor of the room. I read this book about four years ago, and it was a big turning point for me. Much was learnt, I'll share few of them today. You should check it out. The lessons: Death begins when one stops learning, and ageing starts from one's mind, not one's body. One remains young as far as he or she keeps learning; One starts crashing once he or she stops pushing. One's ability to excel mentally is paralyzed once one stops trying and accepts that the results obtained is the best he or she can attain; One's life becomes a burden when one's life is void of progress. And when one's brain isn't working towards anything, it becomes a weight on the body. The brain is motivated when it sees something ahead, something to work towards for; One's success does not demand prayer and fasting, as much as engaging one's senses positively. How we treat people can have a great impact on the degree of blessings and favor of God we are experiencing in our lives. Are you good to people? Are you kind and considerate? Do you speak and act with love in your heart and regard other people as valuable and special? Listen, you can’t be rude and inconsiderate and expect to live in victory. Evil is never overcomed by more evil. No! We overcome evil with good. I know it’s not easy. But with God’s grace, when someone hurts you, the only way you can overcome it, is by showing mercy, forgiving them, and doing what is right. Keep taking the high road, being kind and courteous. Keep walking in love and having a good attitude. God sees what you’re doing, and He will make sure your good actions and attitude will overcome that evil. A lot of us have become used to using salt to kill earthworms when we encounter any in our houses. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. Before that, I'll share some points about earthworms: - They are in the lumbricus genus, there are various species of earthworms, but the common earthworm's scientific name is lumbricus terrestris - Their digestive system runs through the length of their skin - Earthworms respire through their skin - They are hermaphrodites (each one carries both male and female sex organs) - They lack either an internal skeleton or exoskeleton , but maintain their structure with fluid-filled coelom chambers that function as a hydrostatic skeleton.
