A lot of us have become used to using salt to kill earthworms when we encounter any in our houses. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. Listen to every conversation, on social media, forums, meetings, blog comments, etcetera. Pay attention to their questions, frustrations, complains, desires, goals, fears and dreams. It is from these emotions that you build products and services from. And when your sales copy contains the exact word these people use to vent their frustrations, you have won 90% of their attention. The other 10% would be determined by the benefits, urgency, pricy and other things that make people buy from you. So, you shouldn't spend time thinking about what niche to focus on. You shouldn't be thinking niche. You should be thinking problems and solutions. Whether you want to start a blog, a business, a podcast, a company or whatever. I normally take a walk in the evenings. The practice of solitude on the street... the idea of being quiet on a road full of noisy commuters seems heavenly to me. It makes me feel different and that's exactly the kind of environment I can unwind. This evening, it was church-time for some folks.
