Chelsea loaned three of their players: Jamal Blackman (Sheffield United), Michael Hector (Hull City) and Tomas Kalas (Fulham).

• On Tuesday, July 25:

Izzy Brown was also loaned to Brighton from Chelsea.

• On Monday, July 24:

West Ham completed a £16m signing of Javier Hernandez from Bayern Leverkusen.

Manchester City completed a £52m signing of Benjamin Mendy from Monaco.

Juventus completed a £35m signing of Federico Bernardeschi from Fiorentina.

Mason Mount was loaned by Chelsea to Vitesse Arnhem.

• On Sunday, July 23:

Manchester City completed a £26.5m signing of Danilo from Real Madrid.

• On Saturday, July 22:

West Ham completed the signing of Marko Arnautovic from Stoke City.

Middlesbrough completed a £5m signing of Darren Randolph from West Ham.

Roma completed a £4.5m signing of Aleksandar Kolarov from Manchester City.

Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. So there are a lot of myths, facts, and opinions out there about happiness. My intention, however, is not to support or discredit any one of them you may have come in contact with before. While it is true that happiness is relative, it is also true that personal happiness is what you make of life. Many people in the world today have different goals and ambitions. There is something which is nonetheless common to almost all of us and that is personal happiness. I have learnt that it is impossible to control the happenings around us but what we can control is our disposition towards these happenings. The major mistake a person can commit is to expect that life will always go as planned or as expected. I really wish I could say this out rather than have it written out. So help me read it out. Do It Yourself! I'm going to tell you something. Some years back, things were so difficult for my parents and us. It was the most difficult part of our lives. Then my dad lost entirely all his businesses. It was hard on him. Everything was gone. My mum had a clothing business she was doing. Everything was on her. Every responsibility was on her. She had entirely no choice but to carry this two-in-one cross herself. It came to a point where she had to take her lifeline. We were going to join in the struggle. I was ten while my younger brother was eight. She would give us part of the clothe to go through many streets to sell. Sometimes it took us hours to sell one of the clothes.
