Keeping a healthy Heart
Keeping one's heart healthy involves one ensuring that the heart and the blood vessels that supplies blood and oxygen to (/away) from one's heart are properly taken care of, and continue to function adequately. We'll see some tips about one protecting and keeping a healthy heart.
• Care about your Sleep. You know how it feels when you don't sleep enough. An average of six to eight hours of sleep is necessary daily. Less sleep can promote the build up of calcium in your blood vessels and this can promote heart diseases.
• Regularly check your blood pressure, blood glucose levels and cholesterol levels.
• Reduce stress, especially extreme and unwanted stress.
• Carry out regular exercise; avoid a sedentary lifestyle; avoid staying in a particular position (like sitting) for hours without stretching, changing position or taking a break.
• Take less alcohol (if you drink alcohol) and stay off smoking! Tobacco have disadvantageous effects on the blood vessels (arteries), which builds up and worsens as time goes on.
• Care about your happiness. Do things that promotes your happiness. The more you're happy, the more better your heart functions and the less chances you'll develop an unhealthy heart. Laugh often, build healthy social relationships and a good social lifestyle, make sure your career is not a source of unhappiness.
