Comfort sucks!

As I watched the two fishes move in the aquarium, I experienced a drift... I began to wonder how some of us are comfortable in our limiting 'box' because we have food, shelter and other basic needs. Then I imagined how beautiful and interesting life would be if we break out of this box, this comfort and explore...and see life on the other side.

The life we yearn for is not found in the confines of our comfort zone. Until we risk comfort we won't get the chance to experience life on the other side.

Live life in crescendo, stretching, learning and expanding daily. Be willing to go higher, do more, take risk, grow, and go past you comfort zone. Growth, discovery and betterment are often accompanied by some degree of discomfort.

You just want to fast forward to your ultimate destination and end the journey. You're tired of the stress, you're tired of working hard and making those efforts. But deep inside You, you get fulfilment from what you do, you feel great and positive about yourself whenever you do those things. Your dream lies in them. You're only just tired. It's normal. You may rest a little, but you don't give up! You don't give in to distraction and that desire to just get there immediately. When I see those that knew me when I was much younger, probably those we lived in same area or schooled together, I often wonder what they think of me today. About who I have become. I am far different from the person they knew, yet I know I only just begun in my journey to change lives all around the world. When I see men and women, and the weight of abilities they carry, I am astounded. Many of whom are not taking any step whatsoever to show the world the depth of possibility locked in their very soul. Sadly so. I have grown to be able to have conversations with people and pick messages off their lives. Things lying there waiting for expression. Edgy. The session was on Olajumoke Adenowo. ---------- (Diligent Amaka speaking) Olajumoke Olufunmilola Adenowo (born in 1968) is an award-winning Nigerian architect, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, as well as a speaker, radio host, and author. She is the founder of the boutique architecture and interior design firm AD Consultin, based in Lagos, Nigeria. CNN described her as "Africa's Starchitect" and The Guardian (Nigeria) has described her as "the face of Architecture in Nigeria. Adenowo has several philanthropic ventures. In 1999, she founded the Awesome Treasures Foundation (ATF), a faith-based NGO in Lagos, Nigeria.
