Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. About six months later, I went to check my 300 level second semester result and I now had a CGPA of 4.00. That was the happiest day of my University education. I was rolling on the floor of the room. When life rejects you as a waste of lemon, shake off the tag and GROW up into a lemonade! I grew up to my early teenage in Ilorin, Kwara state, Nigeria and countless times, I saw my mum poured cooking waste water containing tomato and vegetable seeds into a corner of our backyard through the kitchen window. Also, I grew up always seeing some tomato and vegetable plants growing at the corners of our unused backyard turned dumping site for kitchen waste and I always wondered who planted them and in fact, I also always thought they were unhealthy vegetables since they grow on a mere dirty, sometimes stinking waste-dumping site. Perception is a synonym (another word) for Vision. Vision is the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination. Imagination is the act of forming new ideas. Therefore, VISION is the ability to think about the future by forming new ideas. Habakkuk 2:2 - And The LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision (thoughts about the future, by thinking in new ways) and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. This simply means that God expects us to be Thinkers, Builders, Innovators. In the creation of man God said "Lets us make man in our image after our likeness". This shows that God thought about us, He thought about something that was missing in the world. We are made in the image of God. You are meant to be like him (the creator), so whatever You are faced with, You have the ability to solve it, by thinking in new ways.
